About Us

Howick Driving School is local family business which is owned and operated by Stephen and Linda Gardiner. Stephen has around 20 years experience in the Driving Instructor industry and has operated both in the UK as well as New Zealand.

Whilst in the UK Stephen worked under the 'green badge scheme' as a grade 5 (high grade) Driving Standards Agency  Approved Driving Instructor. Stephen gained his 'Driving Instructor endorsement' on arrival in NZ.

Stephen takes care of the driving instruction side of the business while Linda takes care of the administration. Linda is an effective communicator.

Stephen and Linda.

Stephen and Linda have been together for over 20 years and have a son. Stephen's interests include keep-fit, football and  he has a passion for old films. Linda works part time as a legal secretary as well as helping out with the administrative side of the business.
