Bus lanes are designated lanes for buses which may be in operation at certiain times of the day or all of the time.

Here are a few examples:

Example 1

Bus lane in operation Mon - Fri 4pm - 7pm so cars cannot use it during those times.

Example 2

Bus lane in operation Mon - Fri 7am - 10am so cars cannot use it during those times.
